I am a musician who has been performing since an early age. I first picked up a guitar at age 10 and began playing in the school band and taking private guitar lessons. By my early teens I was Jamming with friends and performing in several bands throughout junior high school. At age 16 I was asked to join a group of older more seasoned musicians, this provided me with a solid musical foundation and valuable learning experience performing both live and in the recording studio. In the early 1980's I moved to Clearwater Florida and continued to study music theory and perform in cover bands around the Tampa metro area. I returned to the Washington, DC area in the late 80's and became a founding member of the band Absolute Zero, after a few lineup changes the band’s name was changed to Sunbolt, which would go on to play shows around the Mid-Atlantic region for over 10 years, this was a very busy project playing just about every rock club in the Region. In 2003 the band added a new bass player and took the name Soul Minor, which played its final gig on St. Patrick’s Day 2005.
After 15 years of gigging I decided to take some time away from live performance to pursue a degree in music. In 2006 I began taking courses online at Berklee College of Music and completed my Professional Guitar Certification in 2007. In 2008 I began collaborating with Kenn Taylor, former lead singer of the 80's hard rock band and Atlantic Recording artist DC STAR. I spent 2009 and 2010 in the studio recording guitar for Kenn’s album Never Surrender, which was released in 2011. I spent 2012 recording my first Instrumental CD titled Yin and Yang which was released in 2013, shortly after I joined forces with new country artist Phillip Parsons and continued in that project until 2015. For the last two years I've been in the cover band Just Push Play a Starliegh Entertainment band and played a few acoustic shows.
My focus in 2019 will be to create some cool new music and continue my theory studies, stay tuned for new music coming soon!
